92' Ranger XLT with 2.9 V6.
I'm planning to replace my leaky power steering gear.
I already have most of the parts. Pitman arm looks ok. Just a few questions.
1. Anyone every had success using a Dowty washer for the power steering reservoir fluid line fitting? I have NEVER been able to completely stop leaks with those plastic washer/O-ring things they provide.
Dowty washer has the outer metal with inner neoprene.
2. It looks like there are 2 frame mounting bolts for the steering gear. What thread size and length are the bolts? I'd like to replace the old ones.
