A/C low side pressure fluctuates and compressor cycles


Thank you. I'll look for some vids on replacing the clutch. Taking baby steps on this one. I figured if replacing the clutch worked, I won't have to evac the system and refill it (again).

It might be worth getting the system checked out before you do the work. Just a diagnostic to make sure it is a clutch issue.

Thanks Sarge. So far, the system is holding. I would have expected a leak to dissipate the refrigerant by now? Maybe not. I'm trying to line myself up for potential trouble and work on down the line. If the diagnostic would point to the clutch, how would I test that specific component? It only makes noise when the clutch is engaged.

A/C systems are a weak point of mine. So, I don't have an answer for you. I know enough to be dangerous and maybe break it worse.

I'll watch the video you linked since I'm always up to learning more.
