I still say to only use it as an auxliary cooler. Most ATF coolers are liquid to liquid, this will be liquid to air which is less efficient. Plus my other already mentioned concerns about volume.
Only most factory trans coolers are liquid to liquid and not all the efficient. Just about every aftermarket cooler is air cooled and as long as you use the proper size it will keep the trans fluid cooler than the one in the radiator. The newer Explorers are air cooled and any towing package will have an aux air cooled cooler as well. As far as an a/c condenser it's possible. The flow could be the issue. They aren't very rigid either.
