99 ranger speaker size?

nope, theyre 6x8.

6x8 but with some patience, tools (saw) and some destructive instinct lol!! u can fit 6x9 and get some really good sound

You can find adapters all over ebay that allow you to fit a 6.5 in the 6x8 hole. You will get much nicer sound out of a round speaker vs. an oval one, check those out.

I always check out www.crutchfield.com to outfit my car. I don't usually buy anything other than the headunit because their speakers are a bit pricy but if money is no object they usually have some sweet stuff to throw into your rig plus some nice install manuals specific to your car.
