99 4x4 suspension banging

So my 99 4x4 has a very noticeable banging only on the rebound side of the front suspension, Everything is either like new or new, Can’t find anything loose.
Would the torsion bars adjustment cause issues ? Just stumped on the banging noise.

Sway bar end links ok?
 
Blown shocks will make noise when they top out
 
Aftermarket swaybar links are garbage on these, I replaced the ones on my Explorer and they blew out within like 500 miles, the electrical tape I wrapped around the ends to replace the missing bushings lasted longer than the plastic spacer or rubber bushings... When you have 1 out of 4 bushings left it makes really weird noises and rides really funny...
 
Have you replaced the bushings that mount the sway bar to the frame? If not, there is a good chance that they are the source of your banging noise.

They do wear and shrink over time. If they are bad enough, you can actually move the bar in the bushings by hand but otherwise look fine. It also might not show up until it's cold enough for the metal and bushings to shrink, allowing the movement. The latter is an issue I'm dealing with.

Also, when you check the ball joints, do you have the suspension sitting on a jack or jack stand while trying to move the suspension with a long bar prying on the wheel? A bad ball joint will not show itself if the suspension is unloaded.

The comment made about sway bar links is pretty true as well. Today's parts aren't all that great anymore. One method to combat some of it is to install the sway bar links with the suspension holding the vehicle weight. If there is any quality to the part, installing them that way will allow the links to seat properly and not pop and bang in the holes of the suspension arm and the sway bar.

It’s a v8 awd . As for more than one post, A admin moved my post to a different place. Just made the one post. I have pretty good knowledge on vehicles, this one has me lost.

The only other thing I can think of then is the bushings for the control arms maybe being worn. Another case where you need vehicle load on the suspension to see if the bolts are pushing out of center. They can be tough to see but it will be obvious when you see it. A lift and a tall jack stand are most useful for this but it can be done in the driveway. Just not as handy.

Weird that it duplicated then, unless they made a copy. Either way, it's better to have everything in one post for your future reference as well as others.
 
The front suspension on my Explorer is completely clapped out and somehow the main noises or anything on it is from the passenger unit bearing being worn and the previously mentioned sway bar end link issues... I changed the whole front diff because of a rotational noise (had a spare in a parts rig) that I now believe to be the unit bearing (at least part of it, I ran a lot of miles with very little oil in the front diff).

There aren't any worn out bushings on the front diff are there? I think there's only one on the passenger side and two on the drivers side if memory serves... The CV on the front output of the AWD T case isn't worn is it? I honestly have very few miles on the AWD system from the Explorers but even my 240k mile '98 Explorer drives pretty nice somehow, the '00 Explorer with 260ish has lived a rougher life...
