98 transfer case ?

first off i have searched i know its been covered 100 times but i still cant find the answers im looking for.

i have a 98 ranger with the electric shift 1354 tcase. i am doing a sas and would like a manual shift tcase. will the older manual shift tcases bolt up to the 98 99 00 auto trannys? if so i will just finid a 1350 or 54 manual with fixed front and rear yoke. ive read alot of tcases are rear slip yoke? i believe my 1354 flat flange will swap over? correct?

another option is there a fixed yoke i can get from the junk yard just to get me by untill i find a tcase?

sorry for the repeated question. i just want to find some definate answers.

anyone? i just need to know if pre 98 transfercases will bolt up to my 98? or 98 and up tcases will work also?

Yes. Any 1350 or 1354 will bolt up to any 4x4 transmission.

Most 1350s had a slip FRONT yoke. All rear yokes were fixed.

Any fixed yoke or flange on any RBV tcase will fit on any other Tcase front or rear.
