Ok it's been awhile since I have started a thread but I am taking on a new project. I built a 300 hp 2.3l Turbo 97 Ranger with a DP head. It's fast but it doesn't hook and I even put a full posi Explorer rear end. I am going to sell it and buy a 98 or newer Ranger 4x4 and I am going to take a 95 or newer AWD Explorer/Mountineer 302. Build it then turbo charge it and run the AWD with a lowered suspension. I want close to 500 hp tuned by SCT with the AWD sport truck. My questions are who has attempted this or done it? Is it possible to get a manual AWD transfer case from a Explorer/Mountineer? If not can the automatic be built strong enough to with stand 500 hp? If anyone has any info or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

The truck you have sounds pretty cool. If it were mine...well...it would look like mine!
