Clutch was replaced last year as was master and slave on clutch. Now it is hard to shift (does not grind) into 1st and reverse. Clutch travel is good and has take up a few inches from the floor. Is there and adjustment / replacement parts under the shifter boot inside the cabin ? Or my syncros are going.....going....... ?...

Well, I've been fighting a clutch problem for several months. I've changed my Clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder and throw out bearing. I've also changed out my Clutch Master cylinder twice and have taken it out 5 times to bleed the system because its been so hard to change gears. Well i think i found my problem. see pic's

Shifting

Thanks for the follow-up. When the sun comes up I will check the bracket (10F) here today. What I have found is that if shifting into 1st and it feels hard to go in, I gently ease back the forward pressure I'm giving (stick not in 1st yet) then give more pressue it goes into 1st gear. So I don't come back to neutral, just ease back the pushing then push again. Never any grinding whatsoever at any time driving.

Does it fell like the shifter is hanging up on something? I noticed mine does this every once in a while. I figured it was the synchronizer but someone else I know suggested it was the ball on the bottom of the shifter.

has anybody checked there Bracket yet? I sure that there are more out there with the same problem

where is that bracket located on the truck

It's mounted under the dash on the forward bulkhead. Just find where you brake and clutch pedals pivot and that's the bracket. Mine was worn on the clutch pedal side. You really have to look hard to find it. You can look at the pic's in this thread to see what the bracket looks like. Not sure what year trucks would have the same bracket tho.
