I have reached out to RicksRangerz, Michigan Metal Works and Illusive Fabrication so far for these. I’d like to encourage anyone here at all interested in lowering arms for these trucks to reach out as well, it only takes a couple minutes to send them a message. It would be nice to see someone manufacturing these lowering arms again, but one or two people probably isn’t going to motivate them, so I’m posting and asking for help messaging these companies. I’m sure if they get enough responses they will be more inclined to help the Ranger/Explorer community.

So far Rick’s got back to me saying that it’s in their plans, but they have no timetable yet as they want to see how the 2wd arms do. I get that, but I can’t wait indefinitely as I already waited most of this year with promises they are coming. I think they need a push from the community.

So, update time…

Nothing heard from Illusive Fab. Absolute silence.

Michigan Metal Works said they do not sell them and apparently don’t plan to, but if I give them all the measurements they can quote me for making custom pieces but they will have to buy stock arms and make a jig which sounds like I’d get to pay for. If a jig has to be made and I have to do all the math, I might as well just make the jig myself and be done with it. I’ve considered it, but I really don’t have the time with everything else I have to do right now.

Rick’s Rangers got back to me on my response about being on a time crunch and said he (Rick) ordered stock arms and will be working on starting to make the adjustable lowering arms for a 4x4. I was told to check in next week on progress. This sounds pretty promising… definitely sounds like he’s willing to help and is willing to go the extra mile.

Still crickets from Illusive Fab. Guess they are too busy to be interested in my money.

I haven’t responded to MMW’s lukewarm response.

RicksRangers says they can make them and are currently working on getting parts to build a jig and getting started on it. Guess I better get cracking on getting everything done on my Ranger… so, apparently coming soon, the wait for lowering arms may be over with…

First set is at the powder coater according to Rick…

Most interesting. Keep us posted
Saw a post on FB that the first set is done. I’m gonna reach out Monday if I don’t hear from him sooner…

Let us know what he says and how they fit if you get them. Even though I think I'm changing directions and lifting mine, I still think I might get a set to store just in case.

Perhaps some of you old timers can help me with this. I have a two thousand free Ford Ranger Edge. I did not like the way it handled at highway speed. I felt that the front end dipped and plowed too much under emergency braking and turning. So I removed the two inch lift blocks in the rear and replaced them with ones. I cranked down the stock torsion keys on the front about as far as they would go...about ahalf inch, maye five eighths.

The handling is much improved. The whole truck is more or less level, the front end is slightly lower. I believe that the handling would be better if the front were even a little lower. I could possibly buy different keys OR maybe now I could get lowering arms. Any advice?
