my 97 2.3 ranger runs pretty good but it has a hesition when i step on the acc pedal hard when changing gears dont realy do it if you dont let the rpms get low will do it siting still if i let it idle all the way down and hit the acc hard if i mash the pedal down slow it dont do it also going down the road if i let it roll against the eng and get back into the throttle it does it . have any suggestions

Nothing personal... but I'm having a hard time reading it.

I think:

It doesn't hesitate when you stomp on the gas between gear changes.
It almost stalls at idle.
Accelerating from idle it hesitates.
Help.

???

Seriously though, sentences do help.

*edit: Missed the "M" on "stoMp"

So when you hit the pedal hard it takes it a few seconds to get going? But when you ease into it everything is ok? I'm with captain ledd it's all a bit confusing. No offense but some punctuation would be nice. It doesn't have to be perfect but make an effort please. I would check the fuel filter and air filter. Sounds to me like your air/fuel ratio isn't right at full throttle. It is a 2.3 ranger so don't expect a ton of power. Just out of curiosity how many miles are on it?

I'm not trying to be a smartass, it really is hard to read.

So did I get the symptoms correct?
