97 ranger 3.0 plate....ASAP

I have a 1997 ford ranger 3.0 with a 5 speed and I need the metal plate thats sandwiched in between engine and transmission i think its called a starter index plate but im not sure. I need to know where I can get one ASAP. Is it a dealer item? Also I know the power steering pulley was put on backwards it was a Honest mistake already fixed tho.

How in the world was the pulley put on backwards, and then pulled back off without ruining the pulley or the pump? Maybe I can learn something here.

Here's some places that have a 3.0 engine in Missouri. I see a couple core engines, which would be perfect place to get the plate.

I learned the hard way. I purposely broke the old plastic one it was cracked anyway and bought a new pump and pulley

But we had gotten a power steeing pump puller and installer from o'Reilly's for $43 and it still would have taken it off there are 2 small jaws that go around the metal part of the pulley and you

Junkyards would be the best place to get that part. I am liking that blue. Did you have your 3.0 rebuilt?

I did it all by myself....besides the powdercoating... i took all my parts to gateway powdercoating. The original motor blew up at 260k miles and this motor is out of a 1998 mercury sable with 100k miles, Did all my research and had all new parts put on. New motor has ported and polished heads new valves and springs and ported upper and lower intake and has a mustang 60mm throttle body on it along with a 2000 ford taurus intake manifold. Basically everything is upgraded and better. It will be getting alot more air for sure. Im also doing the electric fan swap from a 2010 chrysler town and country van. I am really pumped to see what my new set up will do.

I've been driving it for the past week and put 250 miles on it. Its running lean and I really need a small tune any suggestions?

Yeah same here. That was my goal lol I have to clear the lean code for it to run good every time. How else can I add more fuel then? Bigger injectors now or what?

The computer adds fuel automatically, depending on what the oxygen sensor tells it. Either you really are running lean because of a air leak that is letting so much air in, that the computer can't compensate, or the oxygen sensor is bad and is lying to the computer.

One clue you may have a air leak is the idle is unusually high and you can't control it and bring it down.

Well I have to clear the CEL every time I get in it or it runs like shit and will want to die when I hit the gas... and when I do clear the code it runs amazing.
