I RECENTLY BOUGHT A ROUGH COUNTRY LEVELING KIT 4 MY 97 RANGER. IT LIFTS IT UP A GOOD 2 INCHES BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT TO ALIGN IT BACK UP YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE FRONT CAMBER BUSHINGS WHICH ADS ON TO THE PRICE AND MOST ALIGNMENT SHOPS ARE NOT THAT FAMILIAR WITH THESE PRODUCTS WHICH WILL MAKE YOU:annoyed: AND THE COMPANYS WHO SELL THESE ITEMS DONT SELL THE CASTER BUSHINGS.:headbang: JUST SOME ADVICE

you can get adjustable bushings or ive heard about NAPA having bushings, so i think that you could go get your alignment and see what degree you need to get them back aligned, run to the store and have them put them in...wait for someone else to answer also...

Not Recommended

JUST FINISHED WITH THE HASSLE OF INSTALLING LEVELING KIT FOR 97 RANGER AS I STATED THE CASTER BUSHINGS WHER VERY HARD TO MATCH EVEN FOR THE EXPERTS I WOULD HAVE RATHER GOTTEN A BODY LIFT KNOWING WHAT I KNOW NOW:headbang: BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A HASSLE:icon_hornsup:

i bought some bushings at napa before i started. the guy at the alignment shop gave me some hassle and said it was never going to get aligned. 1/2 hour later i drove it away just fine. the guys at the shops just don't want to try. if i knew i'd have tried to align it close as i could by eyebaling it before i took it in to get aligned. all-in-all though I'm really happy with mine.

yeah but to be honest mine will not get correctly aligned he showed me everything i stayed at his shop 4 about 1/2 day working with him but it does look nice!!!!!!:headbang:

do you have to replace the camber bushings if you get the leveling kit?ive been thinking about geting one for a long time and im starting to get worryed im not gunna like it . i was thinking about just puting in at stx high ride coil .it should line up .give me your opin

When I did mine I was able to turn the camber bushing in the beams. The then I just had to get the toe in adjusted. Mine drives down the road fine and is within spec according to the alignment shop.

Sorry a little late to the chat. But a twin beam is a Ford Design if ft end shop even whimpers about not being alignable run to the Ford Dealership. the problem i have found is most "ft end "SPECIALIST" found at "other shops" are not educated on the product or are too lazy to spend the perceived additional time to align. remember twin beam is a small fraction of the business.

I bought the skyjacker 132x 2" coils but I got mine aligned just fine. I'm surprised you neeed new bushings at all

Napa wants around $36 per C/C bushing & you need 2, Rockauto.com is from $10-24 & several manufactures & range in degree to choose from.
