97 F-150 Brake problem

You might pull apart the other side too, while the PS wears a little faster than the DS (thanks to potholes usually being more towards the curb) one side doesn't roll much farther than the other.

Well i pulled the passenger side tire off first to have a look, it seemed to be ok, it spun fine and i didn't see any abnormal wear. When i pulled the drive side off i could spin the rotor at all.

Well it cost about $120 to get it all put back together. Ive got a question tho, i have only done brakes a handful of time, should the pad rub the rotor at all with no pressure on the pedal? Also the new outer bearing came with what looks like the ring in this pic:

But putting the bearing in the ring it would not fit into the new rotor. Did i need to somehow put it in there or no? It went together smooth with that piece set aside so i assumed it was already pressed into the new rotor.

Did you see a new cup in there?

My new Ranger rotor already had new cups (what I think you called a ring) installed in the rotor.

Light drag is normal, a lot of drag isn't.

The problem that I hope you don't run into, is I've had really bad luck with the races (previously called ring and cup) being very low quality that come pre-installed in the rotors. They lasted me less than 500 miles on my Mustang.

I am pretty sure there was a cup pressed into it. The new bearing wouldn't fit with the new cup. It only had slight rubbing, but would spin freely. So I hope it is good now:annoyed:

I hope so, I am getting tired of messing with the brakes. :annoyed:
