I have a SEVERE vibration when I start out from a stop. It doesn't happen all the time. It happens in reverse also. Usually I can accelerate out of it. Sometimes it lasts for several blocks. Its severe enough that I can't go 5mph. When it smooths out, it drives like a champ. Work done recently: auto trans filter and fluid, the bracket that attaches the left shackles to the frame were replaced about 10 days ago. I was told the right was OK. Thats when it started. Replaced rear shocks and rotated tires. I rolled it off front ramps today and could feel a shudder. I have no clue.
Thanks for any help...

Rolled it off the ramps? Well assuming that you had only the front end up on ramps while doing a trans fluid and filter change (and re-filling the trans ..... you DID re-fill the trans, RIGHT?!??!??!) ..... i'd say re-check the fluid level in the trans.

Make sure the truck is on level ground when doing so. Also, make sure you're following proper procedure when doing so.

The truck was rolled off the ramp for a level fluid check before sarting it for a normal check. That is where I felt the vibe. The changing of fluid and filter had NO EFFECT on vibration. Could a defective ball joint cause this? All four have been changed along with the front spindles in the last six months. It was recently taken to a shop where they said one ball joint was not seated correctly and they took care of it. Now I have the vibe.
