97 2.3 turbo info?

if i remember right the SVO was carbeurated will that manifold fit on my engine i think the thunderbied was FI but i could be wrong. Any thoughts anybody?

You bought a 4 cyl truck just for gas milage? I have a lifted 2wd 99 Ranger that has 33x12.15's on it with a 4.0 motor auto trans and I get right at 24 mpg on the highway and 19 around town. I get 350+ miles on a tank of gas and when I fill up a still have 4 gallons of gas on the tank. It is the same every time I fill up. Why spend more money on a truck you bought when you don't have to?? You knew the truck was a 4 cyl when you bought it and it is underpowered as you stated........

i bought the truck with the thought of possibly wanting to turbo it. i get right at 30 mpg highway now and travel 420 miles every weekend. i"m in an automotive school right now and thought if i could get the parts i could swap it in class in a few days. other than that the body is perfectly staright and i traded it on an old jeep i had less than $300 invested in

and the 30 mpg is with almost 300 pounds of crap in the bed of the truck

85 svo is fi, and 84-88 tbird is fi. just grab the whole thunderbird engine, that way you can run 15psi and make a lot of power

is there anything else on the thunderbird engine that makes it stronger than the one already in the truck? everything i have read so far says that the blocks are all the same

the tbird engine has forged internals, hook ups for the oil lines for the turbo....etc

will all the connectors on the tbird engine fit on the newer ranger harness? thanks for the help
