new battery and alternator. went out yesterday on nice warm balmy day , low humidity.

all electricals work but starter won't crank. just a click.

jumped it. had to move cable around a bit and it finally started. my point here is that i am unsure if it was a problem with connection when jumpers first attached.

drove around this morning. came back. sat 1 hour. now won't crank. click but no crank.

bat. gauge show full chg.

what's the problem?

Check the truck's battery cables first. Either for poor contact or corrosion that's visible on the contacting surfaces, or not visible because it's inside the cable's plastic insulation. A lot of cases of the "click monster", when everything else is good, are the battery cables. Good luck with it.

did the trick

thnx roobied

Good deal. Thanks for letting us know what it was.
