96 ranger 4.0 4*4 spindle

hello all im tom. I was wondering if anyone here knew where i can find a spindle for cheap in michigan, is it a dealer part? and also was wondering how i can find out what front axle i have

Well I'm sure you can find it at a dealership. But a junkyard would be your best bet really, it be a hell of a lot cheaper anyways. You could always look around in the classifieds and post a wanted ad.

cool ty do you know how i find out which axle i have i cant find a tag or anything?

you have a 96 ranger all ranger after 91 had dana 35s front and 8.8 rear. I believe they are 28 spline.

D35 front diff. Just need to know weather or not you have 4 wheel ABS or just rear ABS. The spindles are different depending on that.

i believe i have 4 wheel abs because there are wires that connect to it but ill look tomorrow and let you know thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember comparing the two and thinking the ABS version will fit either one.

These things are hard to find new. I found a place locally a few years back that makes them.
