and im not a fan of chrysler.

I'm a Ford fan but I'll tell you back then, was sure a Chebby fan. Guy right out high school in '64' had a '63' SS but swaped the 327 crossed flaged to the 283 ones, boy did he have fun with it. Them motors could run.

yeah mine pulls strong to 5500 rpm. gotta love the american small blocks.

anyway, back to the ford before i get a war going.

I haven't tried it yet, but you should be able to sit down with a GOOD set of wiring diagrams and reuse most of the Ranger harness as is and only have to add 10 or 12 new wires from the computer. At least that's what I did in my '92 Lincoln Mark VII eng + trans into my '89 Ranger. The only thing I see as different is that the '95 GT's tranny is comp controlled (add 3 or 4 wires to what I had to do).

Good luck - and let us know how it turns out!

That would work if he had an older truck. On your 89, you can basicly remove the entire engine harness and ECM and replace it with same harness from a Fox Mustang or in your case your Lincoln. The 94-95 5.0L SN-95 Mustangs use a different harness and ECM than do the older Fox-chassis. Still doable but more involved. SN-95 cars have the E-fan controller in the ECM along with the trans controller. Like Teddy said, figure out exactly what you want to do and get the EVTMs.
