94EXPLODER's Build

Hey guys, we did the SOA in the rear, there is no blocks, just welded the new perches, set the pinion angle and put everything back together..the thing is i still have the same tires and gears as i did before the lift and it would easily go 75mph...now that i lifted it feels like something is binding up at 55...we had to pull the slip yolk about 2.5-3inches to get it to attach to the rear diff..could it be the driveshaft needs to be extended? and whats the anatomy of this problem? also i took it to a shop and the said the rear end has about a 1/2" of play..they didnt specify...any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Heres mine next to a stock explorer...

Nice lookin X, get some 35s under it, and man im glad we dont have rust.....

Did ya figure out the driveshaft vibe problem? Also i need that payment very soon , dont forget :icon_hornsup:

no we havent. we extended the driveshaft..its not balanced so it vibes a little bit but were thinkin i lost overdrive or my torque converter is crap...the truck will not go over 55...and it doesnt shift into 4th..

that other explorer is NOT stock... its got the patina paint and a body kit... lol

truck looks great... get some 33's or 35's on it!!!

thinking the vibe issue is the pinion angle...going to go buy some shims tomorrow from Thrilbys and test it out...ill take some pics and keep you guys updated :)

went and ordered some pinion shims today, should be in tomorrow. also picked up a new driveshaft at the junkyard for $75...
