I just swapped my plugs with NGK spark plugs and ever since then it seems to be running worse, when the engine is under load, you can feel it stuttering. I replaced the coils and wires too, but I did the coils with the old wires and plugs and it ran fine, so all I can think of is the plugs, and maybe the wires. The wires are Accel performance wires, so I don't think its them. So I guess my main question would be what is the best plug for the 2.3? I have tried bosch platinum, but never really noticed any benefit, the last ones were autolites and seemed fine, are there better ones?

i do believe the 2.3l takes a special plug or atleast when i replaced mine that is what they told me at the parts store and i paid like 4.25 a piece for them which sucked having to buy 8 plugs

I have used many different plugs in the past 210,000 miles and the best I have found are the autolite double platinum plugs. They're not that pricy compared to a lot of other plugs and they work really well with the dual plug waste spark setup of this engine. I've also found the autolite wires to fit and work really well. The bosche wires I tried before those were all too long and were poorly made compared to the autolites.

Agreed; I really think that Autolite ignition parts are what this engine likes best.
