94 Ranger - Shocks and spring question


Hi cookdj39,

have you tried soaking the bolts in pbblaster? Spray them and repeat many times. If that doesn’t work, you maybe need to try a heating torch. Ultimately, you might need a nut splitter. Mine were like yours, but pbblaster and a torch and they were loose. I then soaked them in evaporust for a day and they were like new.
Thanks Tim, I'll try the pbblaster. I have a can of that. I had the kit installed about 15 years ago and never really looked at the way the hoop mounts bolted into the arm and the shock.

I can remove the nut and I can turn the bolt but I was unable to budge it. Its a little difficult trying to drive it our because of the diff oil bolt.
