94 f150 help

My dad just purchased a 94 f150 xlt. Problem we are having is it has dual gas tanks. There is no owner manual that came with it and I cant find anything from google searching but which tank is used as the primary? Does it matter which one you put gas in. How does that dual tank setup work?

Theres a switch on the dash next to the light switch that says "Fuel" with a rocker switch that says front and rear. 90% of everybody used the front tank as a primary. It doesnt matter which one you use. If you wanna use the back tank one day and the front the next, go for it.

Ahh ok, thanks for the help. Can you switch between the tanks in mid drive?

Yeah. The engine might sputter for a second but other then that no harm done.
