i am looking at swapping my 94 v6 for the new style v6 4.0 engine. i know all the mounting will be super easy but can it be controlled by me existing wireing and pcm with some mods? i want the new engine for many reasons. one being actually having cams instead of pushrods. and the 160hp boosted up to 205hp. any advice would be great!!

Your engine has a cam, look at GM's LS7 vs any of Ford's MOD motors... Right now OHV is ahead (I have faith Ford will bring something good to the table though soon) :D It would be alot of work, but you COULD get it to work... Depends on how much you actually want it, lol... I'm not sure on specifics, but you would have to pretty much swap everything out...

yes i do know it has a cam, but i particularly dont like having the single cam in the center and the the pushrods from that cam. i like how the new engine actually has a cam on each head with a chain to them. but mainly i like the larger bore size(even if it is miner differance)

Cool, I'm not trying to say one is better than the other, although I wouldn't do it, especially since my 4.0 is still running, but it would be a neat project...

I like this idea any one know anything?
