My 94 4.0 4x4 5 speed Ranger just stopped running. Originally thought fuel pump, so I put a new one in. Nope! I checked inertia switch, not tripped. checked fuse under hood and switched relays to see if it was that. nothing, the truck turns over and all but no fuel pump noise. What am I overlooking?

I did check the relays by sitching them with the other ones that are in the under hood box by the battery. they had all the same numbers. So I thought that would be good enough to find out if that was the problem. Was I right?

hey pop was reading about the inertia switch and does sound like what you told me. if you go to tech library it tells you check it electrically. call you later

:threadjacked: :icon_rofl: j/k

problem solved:
just let everyone know who is reading this the EEC relay and fuel pump relay both have to be working in order for the fuel pump to work. i hope this helps someone stay running.
