94 2.3L fusible link for alternator

Check any battery with volt meter
12.2v or lower is a failing battery
If battery starts to lose volts just by having meter connected it is a bad battery

Car batteries are not made to be drained below 12v, they have thin plates so they can discharge high AMPs, for starter motor, quickly, and then take a quick reCharge above 14volts

When they sit with a slow drain, i.e. hooked up to vehicle, over 6 months or so, they will be ruined, won't hold a recharge very long

Just sitting not hooked up is OK for a few years but really depends on how old they were when they were "put away", if they were already over 3 years old then they probably won't recover that well, the chemicals in the battery fluid do deteriorate over time

Deep Cycle batteries are made with thicker plates inside so can take a long steady drain and then a long steady recharge.
Used in RV and Marine applications, they can be used to start engines, but not as good at releasing the higher AMPs quickly, especially in colder temps

Ok....getting 12v at both b+ and at yellow wire.....still not charging tho......

And 12v at the Green wire with engine off key on?

Thats the startup voltage needed to turn on alternator and get it to start generating output voltage

If you have 12v at green wire, key on, and 12v at B+ and yellow wire, but no output voltage, 14v, then alternator is bad, regardless of new or old

Ok....got it with help of couple old heads at work....

The yellow wire was going bad between connection 113 and fuse box..... only letting 10v thru.....

We cut before connector, then ran new end to fuse box.....lotsa open spots, lol....

No A.C., P.s., power seats, .....only like 8 fuses in whole truck.
