94 2.3 ranger timing belt changed now it bacfires while cranking

Hi,im new to rangers.I bought this truck with a broken timing belt i replaced it now it only backfires while cranking and will not start.Its a 1994 2.3 and i set the crank to tdc as it says and the cam triangle to the center groove on plastic piece all it does is backfire i redone it like ten times today same result now

It makes a huge difference just getting that belt on a tooth off.

My only advice is to try it again.

Either that, or there is something else wrong with it.

What do you line the auxillery gear with?

on a 94 it dosen't have to be lined up with anything.
