I have a buddy that owns a 1993 Ford Ranger V6 4.0L. We just learned that his starter is missing the bottom mounting bolt which is allowing his starter to move when he tries to start it. Anyone know what size bolt is supposed to be there? The guys at the local auto stores have no clue and say they have no way of looking it up. Any help would be appreciated!

I think it was a 10x1.25 or 1.50.

I know I just got a pair of brand new ones from Ford a year ago. I might even have an extra one.

bolt

Pull the starter check for damage to the starter and ring gear then take one of the bolts down to the parts store, use a nut to figure what pitch, I think its 1.5 besure that you measure the depth needed in case there not all the same length

m10x 1 1/4 is what i think i just put in mine, from advance, it had a 17mm head though
