I purchased bucket seats like this one from a 2006 ranger parked in the junk yard. I believe I pulled them from a truck that had less than 5k. I say the seats for $250.00 was the best investment ever. The back support is a lot better on the new models than the older ones. If you have a choice make sure you buy the seats that are square shaped at the top by the head rest area. The oval shaped ones are okay but....

Will the newer seats fit in the older ranger's with no modifications?

I have a 95 Ext. Cab with bucket seats and am currently in search for a 60/40 bench seat that will bolt in with no mods.

Yes they should if you purchase from another extra cab. I had to make adapters since the floor pan was different. Making them were pretty easy though. Front bolts will go right in but its the back two you might have a problem with. Homedepot will have the right material. I purchased bolts, metal jigsaw blade and metal brackets. Once I found the thickness I was comfortable with I made the purchase. Later, you make the cuts, beat the shit out of the metal until you get the correct shape and finally drill holes. I followed up with praying them using sound deadener. Keep in mind, your design, you want to make sure you think about what will happen if you get in an accident. You really cant test your design so you want to be extra cautious and spend the extra time and do it right.
