93 Ranger 4X4...tire lean

???

What are you trying to say?

Bad toe causes the suspension to jack itself up or down, which in turn causes the camber to change.

:icon_confused:

i worded it wrong:black_eye:, its just annoying when someone says its deffinatly a toe problem. it could be a number of things, including toe, but not 100% sure its toe! comment not pointed at you btw!

Theoretically it can only be 2 things. 1 being the toe. And 2 being that you lifted it and didn't install the radius arm drop brackets, but that only applies in 4wd.

You didn't say you were in 4x4 when it happens, so I'm gunna say that your toe is to far to the + side

Just have your alignment redone, and I recommend not going to the dealer for it, as usually the master techs who know the old TTB suspension are doing jobs that require thier skills, not simple alignments.

Funny thing is, is that the trick to doing the TTB alignment (other that knowing how it pivots) is to bounce the frontend after every little adjustment, and to absolutley make sure the pins are out of the slider plates, as they sould be with any alignment.

Bad pivot bushings could cause it too, although it would still be a result of the toe being off due to the bushings allowing the beams to move around laterally.

Thanks guys, I am going to bring it to a local shop....I talked with the guy and he said he knows how to do them. I guess I will see.

Something else that my relate to this, when I turn the wheels during driving, the steering wheel stays turned, it wont come back so it sometime makes it tricky to drive. I can go thru a light curve and let go of the wheel and it will keep turning, it will do it turning right or left. Is that due to bad alignment also?

That would be from incorrect caster, soo yes, you need an alignment from someone who knows what they are doing...
