i got a 93' ranger 4.0v6 4wd and i got a constant clicking sound on the right front tire everytime i take a turn, i replaced the hub, brakes, rotors, bearing and race, and it still does it, no rocks in the tires, can someone please help me out here? id really appreciate it, i need suggestions

Do you have automatic of manual locking hubs? The automatic hubs will click when they are partially engaged.

i have automatuic, but how can they be partially engaged?

If there is excess grease in the hub body the cams cannot engage completely. I would pull the hubs off and clean them up good. Then put a light coating of grease inside.

and if its not that?

already replaced wheel bearing as stated above

wow thats helpful, thanks

What do you want me to say, Have you tried what I explained earlier? Why not try that and then if it doesn't work we can rule it out.

Drive it to my place and i'll figure it out for you. It's hard to diagnose noises properly on the internet. We do the best we can.

:dntknw:

You can diagnose a partially engaged hub by locking it in 4WD and turning on a loose surface to see if the noise is gone.

i would drive there but im in nj, it usually clicks when i take left turns, its a constant click, click, click, click, click when i do that, also i pulled my wheel off a month ago and a chunk of the piston came out, bout the sidze of a peanut, also my hub and lug nuts get really hot

this may be over simplifying the problem, but check to make sure the brake dust shield isn't rubbing on a moving part, like the wheel or rotor. Though, if you can feel it in the drive, not just hear it, then it is probably a hub sticking. Bearings will whine. When I work with the auto hubs, I will pour ATF into the hub, even though it isn't grease, the lower viscosity allows it to penetrate small areas. Then re-grease and assemble
