93 making noise when stopping

My 93 2.3 2WD 5-Speed is making noise when I stop. It is like a tick tick tick and I can feel it in the shifter. I looked at the breaks and they are fine. New clutch and slave cyl. J-joints seem tight. Could it be the rear or may be the tranny? I am lost any clue Truck only has 97000 on it.

Does it do it when your foot is on the brake, or just while you're slowing down? Does it do it from all speeds, or only through a certain speed range?

when I am on the breaks or off of them. Mostly when it is just about to stop. Sometimes it is loader then other times. It will do it about 99% of the time.

So no one has had any noise coming from there truck
