my truck makes this sound, well.... sounds like a tin can running around the engine o_0
it'll make the sound when Idl, and then it gets faster when you accelerate. I think it may be a loose piston, but I could be VERY wrong.

Very unlikely its the rings or a wrist pin vibrating.
Unless its been rode hard and put away wet one to many times that is ?

Loose pistons to me equate to bad wrist pin needle bearings. ( where the connecting rods make connection to the bottom of the piston. ) Worn rings can some times rattle around the piston at speed.

next time it's doing it while you're sitting there idling try putting a little pressure on the clutch, if it goes away it's probably a throw-out bearing.
