Ok, so i got this here 92 ranger supercab. My idea is to put a bomming sound system in it, of course to make it a kick ass street truck. Now the idea that i have is to make custom subboxes for two 10" subs and putting to jump seat cushions on the backs of them. The plan is to then bolt the sub boxes into where thejumo seats originally were. Now i just wanted some feedback and wanted to see if anyone has done this sort of mod or has any opinions on what to do to make it work better.

i dont know how well mdf will hold up to somones body weight. i would suggest reinforcing it. possibly using angle iron around all edges before carpeting.

I am not sure exactly if I am thinking about this right but you are going to put the sub boxes in the hole wear the jump seats would normally fold up into. That does not sound like a bad idea. As far as constructing the box the 3/4 mdf should withstand as long as you make sure it is screwed together good. Fiberglass might be another option that you have but sometimes it can be a pain to work with. The good thing about glass though is the thicker you make it the stronger it is to an extent.
