Okay, I took my door apart today to replace the LH interior door handle, and discovered that the door handle itself is fine. The problem is the cable that runs from the door handle to the latch has broken. It broke between where the cable attaches to the handle via the white plastic piece and the little knob that sits inside the plastic cradle of the handle.
Now, all that aside, here's my question: Is the cable replaceable by itself, or is it an integral part of the entire door latch assembly? The door latch itself is $250, give or take, from LMC, and that's a little out of the budget range. If anyone can offer some help, it would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Oh, and there are no junk yards around here with donor Ford Rangers. I checked. Figures.

at a Ford dealer, and also on Amazon.com, but the opening bid on this was only $29.99 with about $5 and change for shipping. Figures. Oh, well. I just happened to check a local jy's website, and since they don't have any listings in the drop down menu for the part I'm looking for, I checked for a 92 Ranger door manual window regulator, and they have one!
