92 2.9 Swap To 92 4.0

Iv read over an over again in the forums an tech library about the 4.0 swaps. There mainly on using the stuff from an Explorer. I have a 92 2.9 Ranger that iv done a SAS on an then the engine let go. I found a 92 4.0 donor truck that has a very rough body, with the trucks being the same year an both 4x4 5spd trucks Would it be be just plug an play or would it still require splicing wires here an there. Thanks
