21 years old learning how to work on my ranger. my 91 ranger was leaking oil out of every gasket on the engine (except the internals).
i had pulled the motor out to do a full service ( new crank, oil pump, camshaft gaskets , water pump, thermostat, intake and exhaust gaskets, new rear main seal, pilot bearing, clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, starter, crank gear, cam gear, timing tensioner, ignition coil, motor mounts).
motors back in the truck but i was a doofus when installing the starter i had wired it wrong and had the ground on the starter and the ignition wire grounded to the truck
. got that sorted now the engine is turning but the ignition coils aren’t firing from either side. not sure if this has something to do with possibly frying the icm from my mistake but the connectors going into the coil pack does have 12v going into it with the key turned sooo??
don’t usually like asking for help but i’ve been stuck at this step and really want to get back out to riding my dirtbike but this is keeping me stalled. would appreciate any and all advice
