So, visually, the 89-92 ranger looks a-lot like the 92-94 Explorers......my question is, how hard is it to convert/ replace, my stock Ranger grill with an Explorers.....does the year difference matter?

Any of the '89-92 Ranger and 1991-94 Explorer grilles are freely interchangeable.
The grill to look for is the black one off the 2dr Explorer sport, it's the same piece of plastic Ford put on the 1989-92 STX Ranger.
