Has new crank sensor, no signal pulse (ground) at drivers side coil pack. Voltage is OK at coil pack. Any common problems with these. I cant find a wiring diagram on here (EVTM).

plugs on drivers side coil do not fire during cranking.

no prob bud, i didn't know at first either. this site is full of useful info! :D

These coils have a history of going bad. Replace the coil.

1994 2.3 stock 14 year old coils still igniting fuel. don't blindly replace components unless you have a boat load of money :)

my mechanic races these 2.3l's and he says 7 outta 10 have bad coils. I had no spark on secondary coil point 1 and 4 in my truck. but I had plenty of power to the coil. if he has voltage at the coil and no spark theres only coil, plugs and wires left that could be bad. replace the coil, you can get one for 2.00 from any junkyard out of any 4.6l motor with the same style plug any 5.4l and swap the plugs or another 2.3l. 2-5 bux is not a high price to pay.

if 7 out of 10 your buddy found were bad why in the hell would anyone go get a coil from a junkyard? that means you have a 70% chance of getting a bad one from a junkyard according to your buddy. And like I said, to my knowledge the drivers side does not fire during cranking.

it only needs one side to run fine, I'm running 4 plugs on the DIS system and running more cylinder pressure than a N/A engine, runs fine, and unless the no spark was while it was running, not including about 30 seconds after it starts...
