Can someone help? I have spark, 40psi @ rail, runs on starting fluid then dies, I'm showing 7volts @ inertia switch if that helps. I'm getting KOEO codes #21, #24, #15, #51, #54, #63 & #95.

have not checked compression yet? If it runs on starting fluid, would'nt that be ok?

I am having a similar problem with my 89 Ranger 2.9 4WD. You might want to check your temperature sensor. If it is telling your system that your engine is warm when it is not it may not be giving sufficent fuel at start up.

You can take the sensor off and test it with a multi meter. I am going to check the same thing today. Appearantly this is somewhat common for these years. Also, see if your truck will start with the Idle Air Control valve and TPS unplugged. This is the only way I can get mine to start when it is cold. I am not a mechanic, but it sounds very similar to my situation. Good luck!

No luck, I unplugged the idle air & TPS, still nothing, engine just turns. I also started checking and cleaning grounds, still no luck. Is there anything else that might help?

having a code 95 means that there isn't sufficent voltage for the fuel pump. the code 63 may be part of the problem, as well, (TPS voltage too low) everything else shouldn't keep the truck from running.
