i have a 89 standrd cab 2wd 5spd and one of my lines came off my fuel pump i dropped the tank to fix it but how do i get the fill neck back on the tank im doing this by myself

push harder. It can be a bit tricky to get them over the neck on the tank, but if you just push harder it happens.

My preference for dropping the tank is to remove the filler neck from the body by undoing the 3 8mm screws at the top and pulling the whole thing out. I find its easier to get the filler lined up to the body than it is to put the neck back on the tank as you put it together.

on my truck the filler neck goes over the frame and its hard to get to i took the three screws out but i jus cant get it to really kine up with the neck on the tank
