88' Ranger on 35's

Started cutting..

Alrighty, Here are some pictures of the first one started. Still need to fill in a couple of gaps, but overall its pretty well fitted in now. The tires clear with little problems, but overall it will need a lift for wheeling around. :icon_thumby:

Marking it up (slight mess up up front lol)

Awe man thats sick, cant wait to see all four wells done!

Nice, cool idea on the fenders!

i saw the cut lines on the first "marked up" picture, and thought "oh god, this guy is dumb" because i thought you were going chevy with square wheel wells, but now i see what you're up to! looks good, can't wait to see how it looks when it's done!

i cant believe your cutting up that nice of a first gen, people around here would have paid way more than it would cost to build a truck like your building. but, your truck will be badass when its done!!!

More pics

Finished the passenger side today, all pieces are filled in and tacked. (Don't have it done in this picture, but you get the idea.

wait... did you move the opening up??
wanna make me a set??! lol. i'm thinking of picking up a junkyard set and trying to do it.

that's gonna be awesome... i watched a guy do it on a yota pickup once. looked stock but looked mean and cleared great... i'm going to the junkyard after i do my axle swap for a set of fenders. you convinced me!! its all your fault lol.

looks good. keep the pics coming!

Congratulations, I believe you have spent the most time anyone has ever spent just to cut some fenders...

benny, why you gotta be a dick? the guy's doing, not just talking (like so many members on this site do) and imo, it looks good

yeah, not everyone just wants a cut fender. i don't want to just cut my fenders and not have the body lines... i'll probably be doing this in the future, if i need the extra room.

+1,

basically, if i could find a set of flares that would work with my truck, i would absolutely do this to my truck, especially on the rear, even if only to get another inch out of the rear fenders...

I am not being a dick, but why spend this much time on body work for an off road truck unless it's going to be a street queen...

I wanted the flares to be factory looking. I really hate the look of just a hacked out flare, but I cut away at my bedside ones anyway, until I get ones that are actually metal, Ill keep them hacked. (To much bondo)

Also, it honestly took a day to cut, fit and tack both sides.. Not to much time imo. Today I took literally 2 minutes cutting both rears out. Lazy way imo. lol.

I can understand cutting them out completely if your just beatin the shit out of the thing and 4x4.. But this thing will be clean more then dirty. Newer axles will be put on later on when Im ready, then Ill taker in the bush...

For now it is a street queen ha ha :D
