soo... im back lol.. about to pick up a project..
88 ranger ext cab, 2.9v6 manual trans, 4x4 , 6in super lift kit,3in body lift.
baby blue, sitting on 31's ,has dual fuel tanks (which i never seen before!)
buying it as a non running truck. PO said it ran / drove perfect and just shut off one day, cranks but wont start.. every once in a while it will fire up,run for a sec then die. it has spark , its getting fuel ,you pour fuel down the intake ,it dont run ...
he then was saying it has 2 fuel tanks,the rear tank has a new fuel pump ,but rear tank dont work because the switch or something was bypassed so it only runs off the front fuel tank. idk wat that has to do with anything
think it could be weak spark ? need a new coil pack or something?
been a while since i messed with fords, i keep thinking its the carbed chevy 2.8
any way, i plan on doing a 4.0 swap later on , only thing is , old explorers and 4.0 rangers (square body) dont really exist here in florida.
