88 Diamond Edition

I owned an 88 Diamond Edition Ranger a few years ago ( I'd still own it but it burnt to the ground). The truck was silver with blue pin striping and round diamond edition emblems. It was extended cab, 4x4, power everything, and 5 spd. I was just wondering if there is any significance to the diamond edition and if anyone else has one or has owned one. I loved that truck and would love to have another one. I have looked everywhere and cant find and info or pics of theses rangers. Please leave any info if you have any.

Sounds like a dealer badged "special edition" ranger to me.

Kind of like we have a dealer here that takes a few F-150/250/350s that are red and make a Razorback edition truck by putting a few razorback logos under the emblems and raising the price a few grand.

Texas also has the Longhorn edition Dodge (but thats a whole other story and forum alltogether)

yeah I never thought about that. I have only seen 2 other diamonds and they were both maroon, single cab, 2 wheel drives.

do you still got the Vin? track it back to where it was made then to 1st dealer?

thanks for the tip, I never thought of that. I scrapped the truck after it burnt but I still have the vin on the title.
