88 bII wont start

and i live on maui, so there is nowhere on the island that is even close to fairly cheap.

so i think i found my problem. from what ive been reading it seems my netral safty switch is bad. but i cant seem to find the damn thing to save my life! or im just not noticing it. so if anyone has a picture or link to a picture of where it might be on the tranny that would be really helpful!

If it clicks when you turn the key to "start" then it's most likely an issue between the starter solenoid and the starter. You can short the NSS to rule that out as well.

well let me be clear. it clicks when i turn it to the "on" position. when i go to turn it to crank it nothing happens.

its been a while! i fixed the no crank problem! baby started up like a champ! drove great! but when i parked it and turned it off it wouldnt start back up so i replaced the alternator and battery! when i connected the ground to the battery it shorted out one of the wires going to the solenoid. i followed it and it went around to the other side of the truck and connector that was clearly shorted out. that led to a black and orange wire that went into the cab and i cant find it after that! any ideas what it might be?
