what could cause it to only kickdown one gear anyone know?
88 2.9 wont go over 3k rpms

FWIW, are the Cats plugged ?? I also have a 94 Chev1500 2x and the cat was so plugged, hammered it out and WAM, runs like a top AND power to boot.....
