alright sorry about this but i wanted to know if anybody had any year specific info:
I have a 88' b2 4x4 2.9 i believe it has a fm146 (cruise) from the tech page. almost 200,000 miles on her. ive been wanting to do the swap for awhile. i finally bought a 91 explorer auto tran auto hubs and know im getting overwelmed for some reason i was blinded of the complexity. here are my issues:
1. The tranny is the fm 146 really that weak i have trouble with that cause i have really romped on that thing. i can understand the torque. what is that torque diff? im not rock crawling
2. do i need to change front and rear ends or just the d28?
3.wiring i hope is as easy as it sounds i plan on getting m/t computer
4. fuel pump?
5.cruise? i want to keep it
6. i want the d35 but not the auto hubs?
7. should i overhaul the 4.0l 170,000
8. starter/flywheel?
9. i plan on doing the 10in clutch any problems with that
thanx and if there is anything i missed feel free to add, i want to be prepared i have a work truck but this is my personal driver i dont want to push the work truck deal to far....
