87 Bronco II, MANUAL 4X4 INDICATOR LIGHTS NOT SHOWING...

4x4 engages , hi/low but no lights on the dash.

Manual 5 speed standard shift, 2.9 engine.

What I have done - checked bulbs , all ok

the wires going to the transfer case switch are both blue(if correct, they were unhooked , so I hooked them back up and still no dash lights. I changed the switches but no luck. (ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE SWITCH IS REALLY CALLED ?? Ive googled it and not much info.
Only other hook-up I see is by the speed-o-meter , not sure of wire color but both look dark.
Where to from here ?/

It is something hokey, like "differential position switch" or something like that.

I need one for mine, I have a later cluster and a earlier switch with only one wire.

As far as I have been able to find nobody reproduces said switch and few seem to worry if their lights work.

I want mine to work but the weather has been too cruddy to keep shopping JY's. I went three times and struck out last fall.

Any luck yet? Don't suppose you have a pic of your two wire switch?

I picked one up from a BW1354M yesterday, I wonder how similar it is to the 1350 switch. Same connector anyway.

EVTM just shows one wire going to each side of the cluster, not a lot of help there.

Checked mine with an ohm meter, it only has resistance on one side...

Not sure what yours looks like (if it is like the one I have or not) but these look identical to what I brought home.

I said I chked my bulbs, I did by eyeball. the lil bulbs are like a Christmas bulb. they insert in the lil white sockets. I chked em again with ohm meter and they were the problem. none blowed but had to pull em all out and insert them back. musta gathered a film on contacts.
4x4 lights working now !!
