'87 Bronco II E. Bauer wiring help

I'm looking at ALMOST completely re-wiring the whole truck. Anyone travel down this road before? Please offer up any how to's, tips, tricks, resources you may have. I'm looking for very easydummy proof wiring kits that are basically plug and play.

Also looking for the center console that goes between the driver and passenger seats, anyone know of a good place to look?

all the wire harnesses in the engine compartment are dry rotted, have broken connectors, and just nasty.

Find an explorer and swap in everything including the 4.0

Find one out of an Explorer. Be picky though. Some Explorers had one with two drink holders on the front, a change holder, and a CD holder, with integral armrest. That's the one you want.

The junkyard charged me a whole $20 for the whole thing.

Go to a wrecking yard and pull a good harness.

It all just plugs in...

Or find a Ranger/Explorer with a 4.0 and do the old 4.0 swap. It's worth it...
