86 Ranger Driving me NUTS

Lean codes are really fun. All it means is that the HEGO pin reads under 0.5V with respect to the PCM ground, as the PCM commands the engine rich. Any reason you can think of that might do that (and there are a lot of them) works. Remember that the sensor will read lean if it detects oxygen, regardless of how it might have gotten there or whatever else might be in the exhaust (including fuel).

By "operating properly," what do you mean? Which test was performed?

yes ive run the self tests, no codes, no check engine light, the main issue right now is when the key is on, i can hear 1 or more injectors clicking when its not running, theres so much fuel that it hydrolocks the engine sometimes lol, fuel pressure is good, now if the injectors are bad and they cant withold the 40psi of pressure, wouldnt that cause it to be flooding itself like it is doing?
