turned out pretty well.... 24hr duty tomorrow, then friday I should be able to finish the interior, saturday morning install my new IP and injectors. Then take this thing for a test drive.

So I have decided that this truck is worth keeping and that it can do more than what I ask of it. Finally got to tow a real load behind it (15k gooseneck) and with a load like that, it is much stronger than my 2500HD 6.0 was, and holds speed on hills much better than my buddies 03 PSD (according to him).

So, I have some new parts ready for it.....

Picked this combo up for $350:

pump retails online for $400 and tank is $579. I plan on welding a bung into it and making it a working tank. 103gallons.

the first thing I noticed when towing that 15k trailer is the brakes on this thing suck! Nowhere near as nice as my 2500hd was.

so I got this:

I will probably also upgrade to 97 beams on the front.

got a CB in it:

08 tundra seats:

after I finish some body work, it will be ready for new lights/markers and paint.

So, how expensive was the engine to rebuild? I'd like to swap one into my '95, but I can't seem to find anything worth buying. Got any links for resources on that engine?

sorry it took me so long to get back. this motor is the 83-94 engine, your 95 should be a PSD, unless you currently have a gasser, or?

Anyways, with everything I did I probably spent about $2k on the motor, but I did alot of high performance stuff. If you were to just use a good stock IP and some BB code injectors, that would take about $500 off the cost.

Not too much has changed, got the tank on.. not fully mounted yet but hooked up. Also got the A/C and heater all working.

Bought a trailer the other day:

16ft 7k, dexter axles, brake on rear axle, 235/75-15's, warn 8274 mount, bulldog hitch, wood deck.

trailer was nosed up way too far due to the way the hitch was made on the flatbed.

so today I cut it up and modified it into a receiver hitch.
